VIRTUAL REALITY: The Replaced REALITY!!

World of VIRTUAL REALITY – Replaced Reality!

Virtual Reality (VR)

Really exciting stuff.

Virtual Reality. sounds interesting right? well, let us take an overview about advantages and disadvantages of VR in human lives. VR would impact on people’s lives and social interaction without doubt. In fact, although digital technologies (from phones, text messages, online social medias such as facebook, instagram, whatsapp and other online communities, to VR) seem like incremental: they just push folks to online interaction further and further and dilute face to face human interaction bit by bit and murder the human connection with nature.

What’s interesting about VR is that the ‘virtual reality’ can be so real that it turns humans back to simulated face-to-face. However there could still be challenges. You could disagree with me on this for now but i can see that people in the near future are not going to feel the difference between interacting in real life and interacting in a virtual reality environment as the interactive, multi-channel, and real-time social interaction that has been largely flattened by digital technologies so far. And, for sure, it would also propose brand new challenges on humans’ social interaction due to its uniqueness compared to simpler media.

One popular concern about VR is escapismwhich means people immerse themselves into virtual environments and care less about real reality and face-to-face interaction. They feel that they are escaping from the real world and sometimes this feeling is proved to be very dangerous for them because people are not going to want to go back to reality since they are going to be so “immersive” into VR.

In virtual environments, people both feel and act differently from in reality. They may act less responsible as there’s less actual impact of their behaviors. On the flip side, they may act more confident due to the same reason. They may feel mentally uncomfortable because they are not familiar with the situation. On the flip side, they may also experience positive feelings that they would probably never get in real reality.

On the flip side, Although the disadvantages of VR are numerous, so are the advantages. Many different field can use VR to train people in a way that would usually put them at risk. This is used most notably in the fields of healthcare, law enforcement, architecture, army and aviation. VR environments do not require interaction with the original/actual environment which is more safe and easy to handle. And can allow people to train very easily by giving them a hint about the real thing.
VR also helps those that can’t get out of the house experience a much fuller life. These patients can explore the world through virtual environments like Second Life, a VR community on the Internet, exploring virtual cities as well as more fanciful environments

Although virtual reality would have a positive impact on social interactions, it would also have a potential negative impact on human beings and the way they interact with each other. Such as, human fundamental ethics, natural flavours and nutritions should not be replaced by a group of people using this technology. Additionally, virtual reality could be enhanced people would be easily impressed to dishonesty emotionally. due to the lack of access to the reality.

This is another level for the parallel universes where eveything is made easier with the technological advancements, On the flip side, slowly our mortality is being replaced by uploading our personal things into computers.
